dc.description.abstract | This study has shown that alkythioboranes 1,3,2-dithiaborolane and 1,3,2-dithiaborinane, disproportionated significantly during their synthesis. Their interaction with 1-octene has been investigated, and the rate constants, enthalpies and entropies of the hydroboration process, have been determined. The thermodynamic and kinetic parameters obtained have shown that the hydroboration reaction is sluggish and proceeded via an associative mechanism. | |
