The introduction of electronic and social media has brought about significant changes to how business is conducted. Despite its widespread benefits, social media usage has the potential to cause harm to a business entity. The aim of this dissertation is to analyse the different forms of harm that may befall a business through social media misuse, and the tools that are available and the steps that need to be taken to avert such harm.
